I love Denzel Washington. Not to say that all of his movies are great, but he has this really cool ability to go from totally calm to completely insane in 1 second flat. His best roles put this ability on display- alas, playing the titular hero in The Book of Eli did not fall into this category. In the hands of the Hughes brothers, what should have been a perfect platform for Denzel’s badass attitude wound up being a boring, cheesy, incoherent mess of a film.

Even still, this scene has always impressed me. This is what the remainder of the movie should have been like, as well: simple, intense, and to-the-point. Disappointingly, this was not the case- but we are still left with another tight scene from a shitty movie. Enjoy:
